Let Go and Let The LORD Wash Away The Past Season

The LORD has me in a season of review, and I've been looking back at some of my archived prophetic words from ten years ago. I opened a large 3-ring binder, and this is the first one I came to. I really felt his is a word for right now. We're currently in a very strategic season, especially since we find ourselves right in the middle of the 40 days of Teshuvah. The LORD is summoning those who have ears to hear and willing hearts to trust Him and let go of all excuses hindering the promises of God. We're being summoned to pioneer the great and precious promises of Scripture concerning your life, your families, and the family of God. As you read this and respond by the Holy Spirit's leading, I declare you're crossing over from bloodline desolation into bloodline covenant promise. Let him take you through the river of restoration as you read this.
Let It Go - Let Me Wash You In The River Of Fire
Let it go! Let it go! Let it go! Let it go! Let me wash you today—let it go. Let Me wash you in the river of fire. Let it go, let it go. I want to wash you clean; I want to put a new robe on you today, and I want to crown you with My loving kindness. Just let it go — let Me wash your feet, let Me wash you in My river of fire. You can’t carry that disappointment into the next season; you can’t carry that hurt — He wants to wash you.
One of the passages the Lord gave me today was Zechariah 3.
Zechariah 3:1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. 4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”
Today the Lord wants to clothe you with a new robe and put a new turban on your head. He wants to remove the accusations where Satan stands and accuses you before the Lord — but Jesus comes to your defense, rebukes Satan, and silences the accuser. The Lord wants to silence the accuser in your soul today. He doesn’t want you to carry that anymore.
There have been things in your blood, and you’ve tried to fight it — with all your strength, with all your ability — and you just can’t overcome one thing. It’s like Paul: a messenger of Satan, a thorn in the flesh, was given to me, and the Lord says, My grace is sufficient for you; My power is made perfect in your weakness.
I’m believing for your cleansing today. There are things the Lord wants to wash away from you— hurts and disappointments. There are things where you’ve been hurt by Christians — that’s the problem, not by unbelievers, but by people who call themselves by the name of the Lord — disappointment, disillusionment.
I want to encourage and exhort you today that there are things we can’t carry into the next season. Many have tried to get rid of them, but they hang on no matter what we do. We’ve tried to forgive, and it seems like that image keeps popping up — that person who hurt us, whatever it is, whatever recurring cycle it is.
The Lord wants to wash your feet and wash you from the last season. There are even some good things the Lord wants washed away. If that speaks to you, I want you to cross through this river of fire — just come through the river of fire and allow the Lord to do it prophetically. I’ve had this picture since Friday night.
So, Father, we come through the river of fire, and Lord, I’m not going to carry anything from this past season into the season to come. (This is at Gateway Hope Center, a prophetic act of people literally walking through the altar where we made a river of fire with flags- today, as you read, stand up and take a step of faith through the river of fire)
Pass Through The River – Burning Away The Voice of Accusation
Lord, I thank You that You’re opening windows, windows of opportunity, divine moments — and today is a moment. The Lord spoke to me last week about windows called divine moments, and you can’t miss your moments — windows open and close. The woman with the issue of blood hit a moment in God — Jesus was passing by, and she had to lay hold of her opportunity.
Today is a divine opportunity, a portal of opportunity, a divine window to get rid of some stuff that’s been plaguing you and following you. The accuser is relentless in his lying, always trying to belittle you.
Whatever it is in your life, I challenge you, by the Spirit of God, to take your stand and say this day: this day it dies in the river of fire. This day I say everything that’s not of You, Abba — everything that’s just me — Lord, I want to be a man consumed in the flames, so I let You wash me in the river of fire. I’m passing into resurrection life, and Father, I thank You for a death and a resurrection, and for the one who always feels condemned, who feels they’re never good enough — Father, I thank You for the silencing of that voice of accusation today.
Father, I thank You that they arise clothed in the robes of royalty and crowned with loving kindness, given divine ability, Father, to see and understand and know and walk in Your ways. The Lord is summoning you today to pass through the river, even as the Israelites crossed through the Jordan into the promise. Lord, I thank You we’re crossing through the river into the promise, into the full purpose You have for us.
3 Windows – Portals of Opportunity – 2 Doors of Divine Destiny
And Lord, I thank You for three windows opening — portals of opportunity that will open a divine moment that will create a divine momentum. You must move quickly; you must not hesitate when these windows open. You must not wait a long time, and you must not ponder — you must know the voice of your Father and move from moment to moment, and it will create a divine momentum that will knock the enemy off his heels, and you will go into the next season. Then two doors will open — divine doors that no man can open and no man can shut.
Father, I thank You that You open a window today, and I pass through the window; I pass through the portal to a place I’ve never been before. As people pass through, Father, as they do — a prophetic act, passing through the river of fire — I thank You that things will fall off them, that things will be burned away, and they’ll be cleansed, baptized, and their feet washed in the river of fire, in Jesus’ name.
Jessica then sang, prophetically: “Pass through the river into My promised land, pass through the river into My promised land, pass through the river, pass through the river, I pass through the river.” Pastor Ed sang over it: “Pass through the river, wash away the last season.”
Wash away, wash away. Open our eyes to see — see the Lord clothing you in a rich royal garment. You’re His son, you’re His daughter, He’s crowning you, He’s clothing you. Lord, you’re royalty. The LORD says: “You need to see your royalty to Me, not looking at what you’ve done wrong, but looking at who I made you to be. I made you to be like Me.”
This is how Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel, and the Lord said, take away those filthy garments — see, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I have clothed you with rich robes. The Lord removes the iniquity by the Blood of His cross — see the iniquity removed by the Blood of Jesus today. And He said, let them put a clean turban on his head, and then the Angel of the Lord said to Joshua, see, I’ve given you free access to come and go among these.
Access To The Throne: The Place Of Divine Exchange
Father, I thank You that we have access into Your throne by the Blood of Your Son. Father, I thank You for a divine exchange — for hope in place of hopelessness, for healing in place of infirmity, for a garment of praise instead of heaviness, beauty for ashes, joy for mourning.
Father, I thank You for this divine exchange by the Blood of Your Son. Lord, we let go — we’re not going to hold on to that past season anymore. Father, I pray You would give us eyes to see the world around us, that we could speak from Your very heart, Your very emotions, into a world that needs hope, a word from Your throne, a supernatural word that will awaken what has lain dormant in their heart.
Father, would You release words of redemption like a river of fire from Your mouth that will burn away the lies over and in whole families. Would You release the rivers of living water, the rivers of fire from our innermost being, that will consume all the lies of the enemy off people, off our family members right now.
LORD, we stand before Your throne and lift our bloodline, our family members, and we release miracles. We release Your Living Voice into the atmosphere right now. You said life and death are in the power of the tongue, and we say over our family members, and over everyone in this room: you will live and not die, and you’ll walk in the very purpose for which the Father created you.
So, Father, we release miracles into our bloodline, into this city — we speak miracles into the atmosphere, a new creation into the atmosphere, that eyes would be opened to see who You made us to be, a new creation in Christ.
I thank You for shackles and chains falling off family members, off people in this room. Father, I thank You for songs of deliverance to sing in the marketplace — thank You for a prophetic song at the grocery store as we’re checking out, a prophetic river of song that flows out of our hearts and rocks the whole aisle. Father God, I thank You for a fire that cannot be stopped, the unstoppable flow of Your Spirit from within, and we won’t build a religious dam anymore — we’ve got to let the river of fire flow.
Lord, we renounce all judgment that’s not Your judgment — Your judgment is righteous, it’s true, it’s pure. Lord, may I speak words that awaken men and women’s destiny; may I not speak at their level, but who You called them to be. Would You open my eyes to see, and to call forth, the prophetic destiny in a generation?
I remember, about ten years ago, ministering to a man who had come through a rehabilitation program. He found a lot of victory, but then he went back to smoking pot, and I was so disappointed, telling my wife I don’t know how they can go back to smoking pot — and then later that day my oldest son was tormenting my other son and I got frustrated, yelled at him, and reacted foolishly. After I repented to my son for my bad attitude the Lord said to me: "You know what Ed, that joint he was smoking smelled a lot better than your attitude." Wow the LORD exposed that I opened the door to the enemy through my judging someone who was struggling with addiction. Sometimes the joints people smoke smell a lot better than the attitudes that come out of us. (I’m not condoning smoking marijuana)
Father, give us eyes to see You, Lord — we lay down all these things in the river of fire. Let us speak not from natural eyes but from Your eyes, to call forth the destiny of a generation, even in the Church — I thank You that You’re taking her into the deep waters, the deep, deep waters of Your love, the ocean of Your love, swallowed up by the ocean of Your love. Plumb-line my heart again, Lord, plumb-line my heart. I pray for each person here today — let the river of love flow, the river of fire.
A Baptism Into The Fiery Love Of God
I shared during our Friday night Burn service that earlier that day I was praying on my back porch, saying,
Lord, I want to be in love—more than I want to operate in the anointing, more than I want to do works of ministry or travel the globe. I want to be totally head over heels in love with You, fully consumed in the fire of Your love.
I know there are seasons — I remember when I first got born again, I was a man in love with a man named Jesus. I was transfigured in a moment of divine atonement. I was a 17-year drug addict, strung out on every addictive drug known, and was transformed into a man strung out on the love of God.
We can operate in the anointing, even prophesy and do great things, but we slowly fall away from our first love. The Lord wants to baptize you in His fiery love — you can’t work it up or try harder or earn it!. Your spiritual disciplines can easily become legalism if you’re trying to make it happen. Sometimes we need The LORD to snatch us up in a Holy Spirit suddenly and immerse us in the baptism of His fiery love.
So, Father, we cry out for a fiery baptism of love; would You consume us right now in the flame of Your love, Your radical love. Would You fall upon each person here today, immerse them in the depth of Your love, that they would be consumed in the ocean of Your love, swept away by the river of fire. Would You do what we cannot do — only You can do this, Lord. We remember the height from which we have fallen. We want to be men and women consumed in Your fiery love.
Father, I pray from the front to the back, to each side of this room (ALL READING THIS), that You would engulf every person in the depth of Your love. Burn away lies of condemnation and guilt, burn away addictions, burn away mindsets that are not Your mindsets, burn away infirmities. Thank You that You so loved us that You gave Your one and only Son as a whole burnt offering, to hang between heaven and earth.
The LORD says: "I knew you would struggle, and I still died for you. I knew you would battle that, but I still chose you, and I still choose you. I’ll never give up on you. I knew it all, and I chose you from the foundation of the earth. I saw every sin, every struggle, every weakness — even after you called on My name — and My love will never give up on you. Just don’t give up.
Get Up - Don’t Give Up - I’m Sending My Wind - My Breath
Get up today — I say, get up! Don’t give up, don’t give up, don’t give up. Get up, get up — I don’t give up on you. I say, get up, get up, get up! I’m sending My wind, because I know you’re too weak to get up. I’ll even help you get up, and when you’re weak, I’m strong. Lean on Me, lean on Me today. Yes, I knew that — I knew you’d battle in your thoughts, I knew that. I knew you’d struggle with unforgiveness; I knew that, and all I’m saying is give it to Me again. Give it to Me again — keep giving it to Me. Never give up — keep getting up. I know you’re weary and tired, but that’s why I come — that’s why I come in times like these, to love on you. I just want to love on you. I just want to consume you in My love. It’s all about Me loving you."
So we receive the full extent of Your love today — we receive. Wash over us today, head to toe. The season ahead will accelerate, the season ahead will accelerate. Ask of Me, and I will show you; I will reveal to you how to move—when I show you, move quickly; do not hesitate.
Father, I thank You for wisdom, even this morning, as we look to hear and see what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the Church, what You’re saying to the earth. I thank You for eyes to see, to remove every veil — it begins by beholding You, as we look to the Scriptures.
I thank You right now for someone in the room who has been reading the Bible and not seeing anything in it. I remove the veil from your eyes by the word of the Lord, and your eyes are being opened to behold the Lord of the Scriptures. You’re going to have an encounter every day in the holy Scriptures — you’re going to behold the Holy One in the holy Scriptures.
So, I say Yahweh is opening your eyes to see the Scriptures you’ve read that were familiar to you — but I thank You we’re going to see into the deep, beyond the surface level. You’re going to take us into the deep waters of the word — no longer swimming on the surface; He’s taking you deep, deep, deep, where the treasures are.
The Deep Waters - The Sapphire Sea
Lord, I thank You; even as I heard in Philadelphia, there’s a new sound coming to this house, there’s a new sound coming to the LORD’s House.
There’s a new sound coming to your life — it’s the ("It is Finished Sound" John 19:30) fullness of the new covenant, your renewed covenant sound. It's the sound, free from trauma, free from pain, free from bloodline iniquity.
It's the sound of original intent concerning who Father made you to be, flowing through you from the Sapphire Sea. It's the sound from the waters above, the sound from the sea of glass. You’re going to walk on the waters of the Sapphire Sea, the Sea of the knowledge of God.
The LORD says: "I’m going to take you deep into those waters, the waters before My throne. I’m going to take you where none have ever gone before, because it’s been reserved for your generation. I’m taking you into the full knowledge of My Son.
Let Me take you! Let Me take you where you’ve never been before. See, I’ve given you free access by the Blood of My Son. I have opened a door, and I’m saying, come up here — I want to show you great and mighty things, I want to show you the open door, I want to show you what I prepared for you, for your generation. I made a way for you to come up here. My beloved, come up here. I rend the veil of religion over your eyes today, and now you’re going to see."
Father, I thank You for wisdom and revelation and the very deep things of God — no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, the things God has prepared for those who love Him, but He has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
"I’m giving you the deep things. I’m taking you up, I’m taking you up today, into the deep things of My Spirit, into the deep waters of My word — the full revelation of My Son, to this generation. I’ll make you a messenger of this. I’ll make you My messenger. You already know nothing else will work — I’ve called you to be My messenger; so nothing else will work."
The Lord's Not Finished With You - He's Dusting You Off!
The Lord says He’s even taking someone off the shelf. You put yourself on the shelf because of disappointment — you've been even collecting dust and even now, feel disqualified — but the Lord says you won’t stay on that shelf. The Lord is taking you off the shelf, blowing the dust of disappointment off you. He's putting new garments on you, reclothing you, and restoring you to full service for the Kingdom.
You said, I’ve got to get things right, so I put myself on a shelf — and the Lord says: “You can’t make yourself right; I can only make you right, and as you flow as who I created you to be, things will break off you.”
So, Lord, I thank You for taking someone off the shelf — they had good intentions, but it was that religious veil, thinking we must get better before we can be used. I thank You that as You use us, we will get better — as we walk in who You created us to be, things will break off us.
Father, I thank You that something just broke off someone, off their bloodline, off their future Kingdom inheritance. Father, I thank You for bloodline deliverance, for healing entire families from the trauma of generations, for holy boldness to arise with fresh strength and defeat the giants squatting on their blood-bought promised land. I declare this by the Blood of Your Son, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
